I have a 1988 Cherokee xj with a Dana 30 front axle. I want to put Detroit EZ lockers in the front or similar lockers. I was wondering if they are noisey when you are running in 2 hi. They really shouldn't want to engage unless you put it in 4hi or lo if I'm understanding the way they work. I have heard they are kinda squirrely in 4 hi , but work well in 4 lo. If any one has this set up please let me know how you like it and its Pro's and Con's.

Thank you :compwork:

Works fine, don't notice it in 2 wheel drive (even in non-disco). Lots of threads on this.

Lock-Right is awsome I have two!

Is there a major price diff b/w EZ, Lock-Right, etc?

Probably not much, but last fall I got great customer service from Tractech, makers of the EZ. I told them I bought a used one that I thought was acting up, and they sent me new pins & springs on their dime.

Aussie is fairly new in the game, and Lock Right has changed hands IIRC.
