If I have a HP 44, will any D44 carrier that is 30sp fit it or are there differences in LP and HP....... :dunno:

Are carriers axle specific??

I checked an old catalog and the carriers are only different for the gear ratio break.
the carriers are different for a Trac-Lok and an open diff.
in the D30 it makes no difference if high or low pinion.

Thanks thats what I needed, don't know why this would be any different in a D44
