Dana 44 read diff capacity.

My manual doesn't say the oil capacity for the Dana 44 diff. I am installing a Lock right soon. How many quarts should I buy?

The owners manual says 2.5 US pints,and doesn,t specify between D 35 or D44.
I usually buy 2 Qts.
