I am looking for a heavy duty replacement cover for my D-30.

Who makes a good replacement cover that can stand up to some rock beatings?

Thanks,

I'd look at just getting some armor for it (Rusty's or Warn for plate, TOR etc...for tube)

OTOH I have used my (old-unarmored) HP 30 covers as a dozer blade plenty, and haven't split one yet... In my experiences the tie rods usually take the worst of it.

I saw a neat page this past week that showed a guy gutting up a Ford TTB D44 housing to make a cover. Ended up being something like 3/8" at least and looked pretty OEM in a way. I think you might be able to do the same thing with the TTB BRonco IIs, Rangers, etc for Dana 30 and Dana 35 scale stuff.

Myself, I bought the Warn gaurds - couldn't be bothered putting that much time into it.
