Hey,
I've noticed my new stroker has a valve train noise that is louder than stock. I was attributing it to the higher compression, larger lift, stiffer valve springs etc but some I talked to say theirs sounds quite like a new stock 4.0L.
Mine seems to be quite at first startup when the oil is thick...pressure about 75-80 psi. As it warms up the valve train noise seems to increase. At this point the driving oil pressure is about 45 psi and idle about 22 psi.
What do your engines sound like?
