Installing used Powertrax

I have a friend who is replacing his 8.25 axle and he is giving me his Powertrax. He has had it a couple of years. Do I need to replace the spring assemblies when I install it in mine? I do not want to replace my 8.25 axle with his because I have installed disc brakes on mine.

It couldnt hurt,but it probably isnt absolutely needed!Make sure that its the same carrier style and spline count!
