Heater control problem

I have an 87 MJ with a 2.5. The problem with the controls is what ever position you put it in it is always blows out of the windshield defroster duct. I recently put a blower motor in it but I don't think that could have had anything to do with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Been there. Vaccum leak. Check all the lines. I have 4.0L and mine was over by the battery going to the vaccum canister.

I'll check the vacuum lines around the blower motor. Maybe when I replaced it I might of knocked a vacuum line off and not noticed. Thanks, I'll get back to you after I check them.

You nailed it buddy. The vacuum line down by the battery was broke. Don't know how it got broke but fixed the line and everything works now. Thanks again.
