Help High Idle!!!!!

Idle revs dangerously high in park and neutral (climbs up at start) :smsoap:
Wants to pull forward in drive also....
Any thoughts??????

Clean the throttle body with a good cleaner. The butterfly valve is sticking on it. That is the first thing. Second it sounds like your throttle position sensor is crapping out. if you do a search you kind find the volt readings for it. I would clean first if that doesn't do it, tps is bad or out of whack. Juice

I've had this problem several times..............

More than likely it is the "idle motor" in the throttle body its self. Pull it out and clean it, if that don't work, it is shot, just replace it.

Check that your manifold bolts are tight. Mine were loose and caused high idle. Only could get to the top bolts easily, but it solved my high idle woes.

Agree that it's likely the IAC. You will also need to reset your computer after the install; disconnect the battery. But, first check your computer fault codes: http://www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html
