Is this Carrier still good?

This is a result from my first atempt at setting up my R&P in my D44. The guy who helped me grounded down the edge of the carrier to get the bearing puller to work. Well before I atempt this again, I just want to be sure that this won't effect my setup or maybe cause noise later.

The second atempt will have a new R&P set and a new installation kit. If this carrier is no good, I stil have the old carrier. Then I would have to use the thick gears. Anyone know where I can get the thick ones at a reasonable price for 4.10 ratio?

Yes, that's fine.

Make sure there are no raised edges where the grinding occured when you seat the shims and bearing back on.
CRASH

No sharp edges, the grinding was done on the first install. I was able to use my puller and the bearings came off pretty well. One of them is bent, I don't know if I did it or that it happened on the first install.

Thanks for taking a look. I'll use the old bearings to set up all the new stuff.
