Waste of Money But I need to buy another d30

I know, I know. Why waste any money on another d30. In fact Im buildin tons right now, but its gonna be this summer before I'm ready to buy my 40's and beadlocks. So, what is the best year to get a d30 from a cherokee. TJ's are low pinion if I'm correct. Did the cherokee ever come w/ 297x's? I need new ball joints, u-joints, and all new bushings. I can get a whole d30 for 50.00. It jsut makes more sence. (I think) I'll just pull my gears and swap them in and through a whole new axle under the car. Also my drivers side inner c is bent like 2 degrees and really wearing tires bad. This will get me though to this summer.

So what year cherokee to look for, or MJ even?

Edit: what about a Grand cherokee? They even have better brakes and I could take the steering off w/ it.
