AW4, In line filter

I´ve got a tranny cooler I´m gonna install. Was reading another thread about an extra in-line filter. I have a remote mount oil filter sitting on the shelf collecting dust.
I usually work on the theory "If it ain´t broke don´t fix it". But really can´t see how a remote filter is going to hurt anything and just might help. But don´t really want to build in any possible restrictions and/or problems.
What do you think?
Does anybody know if the pressure line for the stock tranny oil cooler, is the top or the bottom. Logic says the top, but judgeing from my Chev. that isn´t always so.

There's the same pressure on both lines, just plug it in :D
