Radiator Hose

I know this is a dumb question, but any suggestions on how to remove the hose clamps on my upper radiator hose? These things look like they are original equipment and wont budge. Also, do i need to use the same type of clamp, or will the simple screw tight kind work?

A set of water pump pliers or channel locks will remove the PITA OE style hose clamps. You may want to spray them with some PB Blaster or WD-40 first if they haven't been touched. I replaced mine with the stainless screw type and can't imagine why anyone would put the original clamps back on once you removed them. Good Luck!
