Would Scout 2 D44's work?

Would Scout 2 dana 44's work on an XJ without major mods? found these and wondering? Just tore up my ring and pinion on my 30 so figure why not upgrade.

the rear would work, but the front would be harder, looks like a pass drop to me

Scouts, besides being passenger side front, were leaf sprung. You would need all the bracketry to hook up your XJ link suspension in the front. Keep lookin...

Sure...you are probably still going to have to do a little fab work on setting up your spring perches, but overall much easier than a front. When hunting for axles, think about gear ratios, lug patterns, widths, and current brake setups. Some axles may seem like a good deal until you add things up. Just get all your ducks in a row before you make any decisions. HTH
