Any tips on replacing a harmonic balancer?

I don't know if your rig needs it, but since you're pulling the balancer have you thought about removing the timing cover to check the timing set? For that matter, how's your front seal?

Regarding the balancer...some people seem to be able to do it without removing the radiator. When I replaced my balancer, I removed the radiator because there just didn't seem to be enough room and I was concerned that I might inadvertantly stick a wrench through it. If you do remove your radiator you might as well flush the engine and inspect/replace your hoses. And since you have to remove the fan, you might as well check the serpentine belt. What did I say about one task multiplying? :anon:
