When DS Vibes aren't the DS

During a hard core weekend at Clayton Ok. I developed what I thought were Drive Shaft vibes. Thinking I knocked a weight off the shaft, maybe bent it or had a loose U-Joint. Two new u-joints and a careful inspection of the shaft. The vibes still persisted. Than I found that the nuts on U-bolts had loosened. I tightened, no vibes. Just something to keep in mind.

What nuts on what u-bolts? My XJs don't have either nuts or u-bolts on the drive shafts. Are you referring to the axle u-bolts -- or do you run an aftermarket drive shaft?

Sorry should have said the leaf spring/axle u-bolts. I guess I thought that since I knew what I was talking about everyone should know what I was talking about.
