I need to track my oil leak b4 i go crazy. Ive heard of a few ways to track it but dont know which one is best/cheapest. I know of the smoke method but seems pricey and hard to use for an engine. Maybe not? Also the UV method. How does it work? How long does it take to figure it out. Where can i get a kit and how much do they run? Any other ways you guys track down oil leaks? Im stumped.

The cheapest way is to get a couple of cans of engine degreaser spray and use them. Take your rig to a car wash and spray off the oil/grease with high pressure. It's a lot easier to spot leaks when everything is clean.
If that doesn't work, then get the UV kit - can be found at most auto parts stores.
