Leaking Front Dif

My 97 XJ with Dana 30 front dif, appears to have a leak where the drive shaft connects. Besides replacing the seal, is there anything that should be replaced at this time. It has 89K miles on it. Everything on the drive train is still original.

By the way, I am not asking if I should be replacing the Dana 30 with something else.

Take a look at the u-joint for wear, but at only 89k it should be fine. Just be careful how tight you make the differential pinion nut. I believe the manual calls for 210 ft. lbs but I'm not 100% sure.

210 pounds on a pinion nut sounds like a bit much i thought it was in the hundreds someehere but im not sure either

Yeah, it does...I just remember that torque value.
