Brake mod

I'm helping a frein strip a wrecked 90 limited with ABS. I didn't see a vacume brake boster so what gives you the preassure. Is there any way to use part of the system (at least the boost part ) to do a swap in my 89 limited to give me some brakeing power so i don't have tokeep my hand on the shift to help in emergency braking.
