'91 XJ rear seat belt wont release, ideas ?

My pass side rear seatbelt is buckled and will not release.
I really just want it to release 1 last time, any tips ?

If I can get it free I'll just need a new buckle.
Anybody done this ?

If it's just the buckle sticking, try spraying it with WD-40.
If the belt is under tension, maybe you can unbolt it at the floorboard to relieve the strain.

You can try cutting open the buckle to release the belt .

yeah, its not under pressure I just want it to let go 1 last time, I'll hit it with more WD40 and keep trying to free it. I was hoping not to destroy the buckle but its a goner anyway...........
