D44 Yoke & Strap

I could not find anything on this so here it goes. 93, D44 drilled the yoke for u bolts. U bolts go right in. The issue is the washer & nut wont tighten down all the way, they bind up on the back side. It also looks like the u bolt wont tighten up against the u joint cap. its 1310 joint, u bolt is 81004. do I grind out some metal on the back side of the yoke? Or is there a better fix for this?

As he said, that yoke is trash.

People 'do' drill them out that way, but its not right, it will never be right, there are several minute differences between the two yokes.

I run this yoke front and rear (30/44).

Cool, I have that one booked marked as well. Im just going to swap the yoke, seal & nut. That way it right.
