I can not find any specs on the spark plug wires ohms/foot test for bad wires?

Anyone have a reference for OEM spec on them? What is a bad value, the limits?

I have seen posts, with no back up of 1000 and 3000 to 4000 ohms per foot. No idea which is right? Need to test mine

I am getting 4300 ohms on the cap to coil wire, and 5700 ohms on the plug #3 secondary wire and 7300 ohms on plug #1 (it is longer than the short #3 plug wire). I think plug # 2 was about 5700 ohms also, I forgot the exact number. They all look new, barely 3000 miles on them. Wire #2 and #3 are the same length.

You don't have a service manual for your Jeep but you have a Snap On brick?

FSM in my 1997 states:

Minimum 250 Ohms/inch 3000 ohms/foot
Maximum 1000 Ohms/inch 12,000 ohms/foot

And your point is?

LOL

Thanks!!! :smootch:
