1984 Jeep XJ - Exhaust Y-Pipe source?

I guess I'm not surprised that finding an exhaust Y pipe for a 1984 Jeep XJ with the 2.8L engine that was only produced for two years would not be easy. Still, if anyone knows a source please let me know. Thanks!

Napa auto parts.that's where I got mine. I believe it also crosses over to Chevrolet s10 series of the same year. Is most likely a special order item by now.

Well crap. I know someplace had all those parts a few years ago. Well maybe longer than that now.
My y pip is all kinds of screwed up thanks the a muffler shop. Had to replace everything but the cat and y pipe a few years ago then the butcher job they did on the cat broke lose, I had planned to redo it properly with the motor swap.

Rock auto show nothing on the 84 XJ y pipe, nor do any of the jeep parts houses I thought would have it.

There are two walker parts numbers for a 84 s10 2.8 y pipe

Walker 40310 y pipe 4wd 118" wheel base


Walker 40276 y pipe rwd 108.4" 118" 122.9" wheelbase

No idea if they are the same but they look similar.

That the problem with that v6, so many parts are still available because it's a gm motor but most interchange catalogues do not touch it those year XJ. They jump right to 87 and the 4.0.

Oem number was 5300-1388 ( without California emission )

Only difference I spot to the s10 from the catalogue is the jeep has a square bracket to bolt the cat to.

Supposedly crown made one for awhile. The part that shows up in today's searches looks like it's for a 4cyl.

The Comanche club had the answer, well sort of looks like a lot of dead ends but a few places to at least check with. It from a 2015 thread too, I'm surprised so many 2.8 Xj&Mj are out there still.

You're probably right all I've seen is stock photos online. They may not be accurate.
