Hey all,

Where I live we pretty much see temps above 98 degrees for the 3 months of summer almost every day. I'm wanting to be able to role down windows a bit without rain coming in if there are showers. Has anyone tried these out?

I ran those types of things in the 90's but they seem to have gone out of style along with the rock deflectors that you would glue to your hood. I was never overly impressed, but you did get a minor amount of air flow. Problem I always had was when using them in the rain, the water would form a stream in the front top corner and come under the lip and get in the truck anyway.

I have them on my 96 and 98 4 dr. Crack the windows to lower the inside temps,or get a little air in the rain. I like them.

Ya thats my reasoning for them. Also sometimes when I go hunt and it starts to rain I'll sit in vehicle and crack windows a bit but don't want rain coming in.

I was able to buy AVS/Lund ones. I bought the rain guards and the front deflector for my '00. Purchased at Pep Boys. Between the online promo code and a $20 rebate for buying both when the dust settled paid $71.71 out the door. Maybe you can do something similar. Didn't really care about the front deflector but I figured for the price screw it. Turned out I was glad I did. All the little chips in the header are now hidden by the deflector.

Every vehicle I own I install vent visors on. Love them. Be aware though that on the XJ they can make a wide blind spot. Makes the A pillar thick!

Bought those and sent them back. They stick on with double-sided 3M tape, didn't seem to conform to the window edges well and the tape wasn't all that great.

Ended up getting these instead, they insert into the window channels (no tape required) and have a cleaner look. Costs twice as much, but it was worth it to me.
