Parking brake cable hitting driveshaft

Had a clicking noise/vibration from the parking brake handle on the way home from work the other day. I tracked it down to the parking brake cable hitting the H part of my rear double cardan driveshaft. Temporarily I used some tie wraps to make additional clearance. Anybody experience this before? It looks like I need a clip to hold the cable to the transmission tunnel. Weird. I almost wonder if my NAPA transmission mount is too high. ;-)

I drilled a 1/16" hole horizontally in the driver's side seat mount reinforcement, placed an aluminum w/ rubber tubing hold down around the cable and a spring between the two. $2 - $3 at the hardware store and problem solved.

Zip tied it about 5 years ago. Still good.

That's a simple fix that would have solved my problem too. I couldn't sneak it past my OCD, though.
