Headliner

I'm in the process of redoing my headliner. I have a 96 Country 4.0 4x4. It has the overhead console. It also has a sound bar as well. The headliner and sound bar cleaned up very nicely however the overhead console is a bit of a pain. The glue is very tough and seemingly impervious to solvent. Any suggestions? Leave the glue or try to find a solvent that cleans up the glue? Also, can the sun visors be recovered?

I used a stiff bristled brush to clean the glue/foam residue off my 96
headliner and sound bar. I don't have the overhead console however.
Brushing was very quick and easy, and didn't harm the fragile foam
headliner board.

The visors still looked good, so I didn't re-cover them.
