Help me identify this axle

So I scored a Superdooty axle today, needs work but got it for cheap. I've read there are differences between the 05-07 and 08-10,but don't know what they are...anyway here are pictures.

as far as ive read i think the older ones have d50 gears in them and not actual d60 gears

Thats true depending on if it was a 250 or 350

Thanks, I'll have to clean and inspect it, I looked for the BOM real quick and couldn't see it with the surface rust.

Bom on that is long side tube. Middle of axe. On the back side, not front, is where I've been finding them. Should be like 2004632-1 or similar.

So cool thing from what I can figure is that it is a Dana Super 60.

Started pulling it apart, found something interesting but I was expecting it...the yoke didn't turn and it had an ear broken off...the spider gears and center pin are jammed in the housing. Didn't give it too deep of a look but it looks like the center pin broke.

These snap rings are a pain in the butt to get off...

Atleast the E350 rear 60 looks good so far.

ahhhhhh....
The Stacked Spider option...
Veeeeery rare.....

I need 2" spacers on the rear to match the front width, so realistically I'll probably go that route...I was also looking and going with bigger shafts since I'm replacing the carrier already...idk. Haven't gotten that far in my planning yet.

40 spline shafts with BP 8x170 would be cool but I would still have the rear axle 4" narrower...that was what I was trying to say.

Keep the rear a little narrower, there's a reason it's like that factory. Better tracking and better turning

Dana 50 is only 99-04. Everything after was a 60 or bigger. 256 should be the ring gear size in millimeters. I THINK that's out of an 08-10. Could be wrong tho.
DITTO on the early 50's some guys run them. I believe axle shaft diameter is the same just smaller ring gear!

May want to look closer and investigate but if it's a van rear then it probably is a Dana 61! I can't quite remember exactly but the amount of gear options *MAY* be less than a regular 60 rear! It will be 8 on 6 1/2 pattern different than 8 on 170mm, as you mentioned about needing the spacers. The reason I comment is my super duty front was a 4.30 (dually) so to match my van rear I had to go with Yukon gears. Dana did not, when I looked, make 4.30 61 rear ring & pinion. The nice thing though Yukon has a thick set not needing to make a carrier swap from my posi! I spaced the front 60 out with spacers and change to match the rear van pattern because I wanted a wider stance up front! Any way I may be wrong, it's been awhile and supplies change, but just a little more info on the 61 if you need it!

So I got around to tearing it apart minus the knuckles and man was it a pain...I think I spent two hours with an angle grinder and punch getting the wedged spider gears out.

Hit up Ashman and he pointed me to the Ballistic Fab Dana 60 shave kit...probably the route I will go or I might just try to repair it...and if I fail I might shave it lol.
