Can anyone say what the normal MAP sensor readings would be when reading the data from a ODBII scan tool?
On my 97 XJ I am getting 23 in Hg with the engine off & 10 in Hg with the engine idling. I live in Colorado 6,500 feet above sea level. Today barometric pressure was around 29.9 in Hg though? Or is this normalized to sea level altitude? Coincidentally or not, 23 in Hg is as much vacuum as you can pull at 6,500 feet. Does this mean my MAP sensor is bad or I have some other issue?
Thanks!
