No Spark Mystery

Hey y'all, lookin for a quick tip. I was getting ready to change out the exhaust manifold on my 89 xj this morning so I sprayed down the manifold bolts with blaster. Two hours later the jeep now has no spark. I tried cleaning the cps to make sure I didn't gunk it up. No dice, any suggestions where to look?

Do you have spark at the coil? Is the wire pulled out part way under the boot or have cracks in the coil?

I know that these seem like stupid questions but I recently had a coil on a '90 4.0 go out half way through a coolant flush. No spark, wtf? I didn't touch anything! These things happen.

Just for the record the next morning it fired up no problem, go figure. I must have sprayed some pb blaster where it didn't belong :dunno:

I'll buy that story.
