I swapped the 3.07 geared disco 30 in my '90 for a 3.55 geared non-disco. What do I do with the vacuum lines that go to the front axle and how do I get it to indicate when it's in 4wd?

Vacuum lines and 4x4 indicator

Plug the lines and tie them up somewhere. All of the 242 TC came with non-disco axles, so they had an electrical connector, and same with the later 231 TC. I believe it is plug n pray between cases.

loop these together and cap the other one-- all works as it used to.

I also did the disco to non disco swap on my old 88 and all I did was plug the three lines that Shorty has pictured above with some JB weld and my 4x4 indicator light still worked no problem
