gutter drip rails repair ?'s

Long story short, I was washing my XJ rather enthusiastically and...
My gutter drip rails on my 96 have come loose on the driver side and won't reattach.
I'm going to pull it off, replace the clips and reattach it.
What I was wondering is what kind of sealant I should use on the pinch seam and where to get it.

I know it's a sealant that is used but not what kind i.e erminology and where to source it.
Thoughts? wanna get it done before the rain comes back:shiver:

If you mean the trim, you'll be fine without it. Any kind of light adhesive that will come off when you want it to (and not before) should work fine. 3M sells long rolls of door guard trim, you could just press that on
