Seat Repair Advice

So I've been putting this off awhile, its bad obviously the steel is cracked entirely in half. Is it possible to weld this up without burning the foam? Or just find a new bottom from the JY. It's for an MJ, not sure if the seat bottom varied between the two.

Larger gauge sheet metal "patch" (from edge to mid-seat) and copious amounts of pop-rivets?

At least that way you won't burn the foam, trying to weld it..... :flame:
