'89 XJ Lift Gate Lock Plate

Hello everyone,

My lock plate on the lift gate is rusting out in a rapid fashion. Just the metal plate bit. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one new? I'm not equipped to make one myself and I didn't want to go to the JY. But I may if that's what has to be done.

had same issue, went to junkyard. could try dealer...

Contact sellers on eBay, many are parting out XJ's at good prices.
