Renix starter bolt sizes?

I'm missing my lower starter bolt ( goes towards trans) the threads are pretty gummed up I was thinking about running a tap that matches the top bolt but read that it's a different bolt on bottom.

Anyone know what the bolt/thread is?

Yup. One is metric, one is English. That is what you get when you marry an American engine with a Japanese Tranny.

what's even funnier is the threaded hole in the Japanese trans has the standard thread, the starter is metric.

because the threaded hole isn't in the trans, it's in the bellhousing that was cast to mate it to an AMC motor.
