I need to reseal the rear diff on the jeep I just bought. Its a Dana 44 with a locker. What weight oil and do I need to add a additive to it?
Thanks WN

What kind of Jeep? Cherokee?

Lockers don't take an additive, but limited slip differentials do. What kind of locker?

90-140W usually works.

I use Amsoil 75w-110 Severe Gear front and rear. It's full syn. I am open/open. You might check/contact detroit to see if they "require" a specific oil. But most any good full syn fluid should work fine.
