I have what is probably a dumb question...
Replacing the clutch/slave cylinder in my 88 XJ. The little pin that holds the concentric bearing was missing its retainer. The new clutch came with a new pin and retainer. Do I just grab the old pin with a pair of pliers and wiggle it out? Then tap the new one in? It seems like it is that simple, but I thought I'd ask before I messed something up. This is my first experience with a concentric slave cylinder.
Next dumb question: Can I reuse my pressure plate bolts? I cant find 88 XJ pressure plate bolts anywhere. I remember about 20 years ago when I did my Toyota SR5 clutch, using new bolts, but I think that just because they came with the clutch kit.
