Cherokee C-pillar exterior covers/plates

Can anyone point me to some exterior covers/plates that go on the c-pillar, preferably covering the whole thing from the roof down to the bumper? Is there such a thing? I have seen Wranglers with the diamond plate on the corners but can't find anything for my Cherokee (does not have to be diamond plate). Looked around a little so far with no luck. Thanks all in advance. I am new to Jeeps - just picked up my first one today!

Honestly i wouldnt waste money on c-pillar armor, its not necessary at all. I didnt even know a company made it....out of diamond plate no less lol. Diamond plate was cool last century

I'd much rather just have the JCR quarter armor. That's all that's necessary in my opinion.

you thinking something like this?

works great going forward, does not work great in reverse

and here is the pic for you ANTI HERO - excuse the headlight uh...modification. I got it like this, also with a gnarly dent on passenger C-pillar

Nice. Looks pretty damn clean from the picture. If I were you i'd get the JCR panels with the sliders on them. That should keep most obstacles away from the C pillars. I'm in the middle of building mine and plan to get some on sooner than later.

Detours makes pieces like what I had, they do work great to keep you from riping off the fiberglass hatch

Good looking jeep

My parents live in Boise, I need to go wheel up there

This looks like a really nice product from one of our sponsoring vendors. Seems to be price competitive with JCR, however I am very intrigued by the way they pre-form it to match the slight contour on our quarter panels.

Anyone try them and have an opinion?

Thanks.

Oh cool. I think or fab makes some as well. Those look nice but I'm really not a fan of the tail light housing. Do they have an option without? Or so they all come that way? The price is definitely right.

yes. Only $200 with no tail light boxes. I'm not sure, but it seems like from their website that the 1.5" rub rails will be added for no extra charge...

I got a message in to them asking.

And, for the record, I can think of 2 times (once on the C and once on the D) where I wish I had C & D pillar armor... :D

Oh nice. That's a damn good price for those. Normally the rails add about $100

I looked at the OR Fab as well. It's an upgrade to 3/16" from most others that are 1/8"... but I don't know if 3/16" in necessary?

They are a bit pricey vs. ares. $325+ shipping (but that is finished where others are not). They have light protection, but not full boxes.

I like their light protection. I don't really see the need for full coverage. The side if the lights seem like they'd take the most damage. The price seems about right for a coated/finished product. I've priced out some powder coating work around here and for something that size it's normally around $150. Might just go with these myself. It would be nice to just get them and put them on without having to worry about coating or painting them myself.

Edit - The only thing I've noticed is that the orf armor seems to not fit as tight as the other companies. Especially around tail lights. There seems to be a noticeable gap.

These piqued my interest (well, the ones with blank light boxes) and I inquired as well.

They have just updated their website. The 1.5" rub rail was not popular. 1.75" is what is normally offered for an extra charge. No free rails. You could special request 1.5" if you wish, but you would still pay the extra charge.

I have a set on order for my '96. The plan is to do tail lights like these: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1110092
