I know this has been covered 100 times but Im indecisive on what I wanna do. This isn't a terrible price to do it the right way... has anyone used these off ebay?

With that said Im all about saving a buck and its a far cry from the $2.00 hockey puck 6 pack Academy sells. Im down for the pucks in the front, but with the pack coming with so many has anyone used the hockey pucks on the rear also? Just trying to get an idea of how to do it or if they'll even hold up on the rear...

Hockey pucks in front, and a steel tube spacer between the rear bumpstops and the frame. UpCountry bumpstops are 1" longer than stock.

I have, 2 x 4 box tube in between the frame and the stock bump in the back.
Up front, I am running prothanes. Definitely worth the money.
Prothane also makes progressive rear bumps too.

Im using basicaly the kit you posted and hockey pucks up front and leaf spring plates out back. Been working great for me. The plates in the rear are drilled to use pucks as well. So as i go up in tire size a bit i can adjust with pucks.

How does the hockey puc install work?

You can either drill/tap the coil bucket and drill the pucks. Or, do as I and some others have and just use some RTV.

Prothanes front and pucks in the rear. Rear pucks on trailer hitch tubes welded to axle housing.

Two requests...can I see your rear upper shock mounts. Looks like a clean install.

Can you show the prothane mounting on the front. I've seen a few different ways to do these and I am contemplating them.

What rear bumps are those on the top?

The front prothanes I just have mounted loose in the coils. I have run them like that for over a year with no issues.

Here is a pic of my upper rear shock towers.

The rear frame mount bump stops are Daystar KU09017BK. They are a universal bump stop and do not directly replace the original. The mounting holes need to be opened up about 1/4" on each side.

That's great one of the reasons I held off on the front prothane a was "mounting" them. People had come up with all kinds of ways to fashion bump pads for them.

What length did you get? Did you drill them out at all?

I bought the 10.5" (191705) and run them at full length and no drilling. I only added a large washer to the bottom of the stock bump stop tower. I run 6" Skyjacker springs and 12" Bilstein shocks.

I never liked the idea of adding the pucks to the spring plates. The leverage added by having them hang off the side, the stress added to the u-bolts, and I have heard of 1/2" plates bending on hard enough hits.

I just took a $6 trailer hitch tube, cut it in half and added a 1/4" plate to the top with a nut welded inside to mount the puck. Lines up flush with top of spring plate.
