Fox 2.0 IPF rear shock mount question

so i just bought these shock about 3 weeks ago and when i tried to put them on i found out that the Stock shock mount was too big for the metal eyelet inside the bushing . then i went on the fox web sit and look up the shock and it said some Modifications Required. so before i go an hack some shit up i was just wondering if you guys had any idea on what mods have to be done so that they will fit. or will i have to get some new shock mounts and weld them on. because as of now i'm riding without rear shocks and its not fun.

The factory rear shock mounts don't use a metal sleeve in the shock bushing. Generally you can press out the sleeve but YMMV.

Ive got fox oem-fitment, pretty sure i just pressed out the metal sleeve.

Yes, the modification Fox is mentioning is to press out the sleeve. Then the shock will slip on the stock shock mount. I just installed these same shocks about 6 months ago. The sleeves come out pretty easy.
