Gas tank stuff

So the baffle has beat my pump hanger to death and now it leaks where the welds for the inlet and outlet lines broke. Other than finding a new hanger, what are my options? Cherokee tank or a fuel cell in the back is about the only options i can think of.

cherocar tank will not fit anywhere.

fuel cell is an option and RCI makes a sender that is plug and play with the stock gauge. I had one in the ugly truck.

otherwise, strip your pump bracket down, take it somewhere and have it tigged. Or maybe consider some bulkhead fittings. Snap off existing tubes, drill it out and install bulkhead fittings with rubber hose.

is the ohm range of the factory fuel sending unit 0-90ohm? i found a few cells that meet my needs local.

depends.
AMC is 0 Empty 88 Full
Chrysler reversed it

double check that wit ha search, I may have it backwards. Been a minute since I dealt with fuel gauge.

I guess what I was getting at is what year is your junk?
HO's got the gauges flipped because chrysler decided too.

its a unicorn, '92. i have a parts xj that is a 91, but as i've been learning there was a few changes between the years.

91-95 will have matching senders electrically.
