Military take offs

Does anyone have any experience with the BFG Baja or the MTR military take off tires?

I used a set of the old school 37" MT/R military take-offs on an M1008 I built last year. Having a local supplier that sold them cheap made it too tempting to not try them out. As far as serious off roading, I didn't do any of it in that truck; just forest service roads for adventure hunting. I mostly used it on the paved roads. I can say that they balanced out well and rode great. Just be aware that most of them are going to be well out of the DOT's recommended 6 year service life. IIRC, 2 of the 5 I bought were well over 10 years old.

Which ones are you referencing? I know the older military mt definitely had this reputation but seems like the baja gets pretty good reviews.
