Later model Sprial A/C Radiator Fan any better?

I noticed that the later models. 97+?, are equipped with a spiral bladed electric radiator fan. As the existing straight blade fan on my 96 is about to die, would the later spiral type be a better way to go? Do they work better?

(96 w/4.0l automatic)

they are supposed to flow a few more CFM.
I swapped to that style when my daisy bladed fan bit the dust on my 96 with no ill effects

Thanks. I saw one in a jy yesterday and was fixing to take it but noticed the bottom left peg was broken off. I passed on it and just now ordered a new spiral from partsgeek.
