Well, you can't have any power without a battery, so....
I need a new battery to go along with the new alternator.
Whatcha recommend and how much it gonna set me back?
Oh yeah, wheres the best (cheapest) place to get it.

Walmart $40-$50 with 2yr free replacement and prorated for another 3.
Unless you are running lots of lights or a winch there is no need to drop a big chunk of cash on an optima.

walmart...

unless you prefer the peace of mind that putting quality parts into your rig brings. there may be more economical pieces out there, but that free replacement and proration doesn't deliver you a new battery when you're not at walmart, ie; out in the boonies.

well, go for a $50-$60 interstate then. I live in the midwest and batteries go from 100 degree temps in the summer to sub zero temps in the winter and interstate bats have always given me many years of service. One in my 89 xj is now over 5yrs old. On the walmart ones will have to let ya know in the future since the oldest one I have at the moment is a little over 3yrs.

Only advice I have is stay away from Exide.
