Fixing the washer fluid bottle sensor

The light for my washer bottle is always-on despite the bottle being full. I know most people unplug the sensor and call it good but I'd like to get mine working if possible.

What are the values for full/empty reading?

Replace the sensor?

I replaced the sensor and it would still do the same thing at around half full. I learned to ignore the light (hoping it would eventually burn out) and I just do a visual check on the fluid level periodically.

If I filled it all the way, some washer fluid would always slosh out around the cap. If I only filled in half full the light stayed on. What I'm getting at is, a new sensor may not be much of an improvement and may be just a waste of money.
