96 XJ Seat Swap

Hi, new XJ guy here, please be gentle if I'm in the wrong spot.

I am looking for information on front seat swaps...I tried to search, but couldn't find the info. Would '07 JK seats fit into XJ with no mods or would they fit onto the original XJ brackets from '96???

Or, would you experts have better suggestion for swap??

***96 XJ Sport with 215,000...drove it FLA to CA last week, still gets 22mpg on the highway....

I read something about this a few days ago.

They CAN fit, but you won't be able to adjust how far forward or how far back the seats go. And you'll have to fab some stuff and modify the seat frames.

Most people do the ZJ seat swap. It's easier.

Like I stated originally, it's not easy and there are some limitations but I don't regret doing it.
