distributor woes

'll make this short. I have a 94 i6. I'm replace Ing the distributor. I bought a new one and they gave me the bottom one pictured.

The top one wasn't in the motor but in the back of the jeep. So is my new part wrong or is the old part wrong.

Ugh I hate phones.

top one appears to be a renix distributor.
the one in my '96 looked just like the bottom one, with the cam position sensor "on top".
I'd say you've got the right one now.

OK thanks. A friend of mine said the same thing but I wanted a second opinion first.
