Renix after market TPS life span/adjustment

I replaced my TPS about 2 years/20k miles ago. It was from NAPA. All gounds have been refreshed, 5-90's cables added.

About once a week, after warmed up, I notice the idle going higher by about 2-300 rpm. If I shut it off, it will then restart and go to 2500 rpm.
After shut down, it takes a couple of restarts(immediately after shut down) to return to a normal start up idle.

Q: do TPS's go out of adjustment, or is this symptoms of one going bad? This is what it was doing 2 years ago and the new TPS stopped it until now.

Subscribed! I kind of have the same issue. Was thinking its the IAC. I'm getting ready to convert to 94 HO so I'm not going to change it, but am curious to see what others think.

1) I don't think they "go out of adjustment" unless the retainer screws loosen up.

2) The only times I've seen these go bad, they had a dead spot. The engine would cut out or falter.

Who knows. It has only done it 3 times. I'll check thr grounds snd hold down screws. Maybe another gremlin:skull1:
