rear axle shaft different? ( DANA 44 ) pics attached

i got a complete D44 from a 89 cherokee, cleaned it up and noticed that the lug studs are longer on 1 of the axles and they also look different one with the longer studs has 5 extra holes ( see pics ) and the hub looks a little different.. do i have 2 diff axle brands?

is this OK? and why are the axle shafts different? should i also replace the shorter wheel studs to longer ones?

The one with the extra 5 holes is likely aftermarket. It's fine that they are different. I wouldn't put longer studs on unless you need them for thicker aluminum wheels or disk brakes.

I'll bet the longer wheel studs are for a spacer on that side.
We Instaled a Dana 44 in my YJ, that was out of a Commanche pickup. To line everything up correctly, I needed a spacer on the driver side.
