stroking a renix

has anyone done a stroker kit on a renix style engine? (real kit not a poor mans kit) anyone have any tips on how to tune/how to do it? i talked to a few manufactures of some kits and they all say to save my time and either convert it to obd2 or buy a new jeep. one company told me they just did one but took so much time just to get it to run right, but wouldnt explain much more.

If I recall correctly, the 4643 race rig is a heavily modified / stroked renix motor. Talk to Russ with Bishop-Buell. (I think that's the guy)

There are quite a few Renix stroked rigs. Mostly with stock PCM, larger injectors (some can use stock) and/or a MAP sensor adjuster. Stay relatively tame on the cam and you won't have issues. Check out jeepstrokers.com for more details.

yeah, stroking a renix is simple.

1) remove old engine
2) install stroker engine
3) install appropriate fuel injectors
4) drive angry

You'll find benefit from a bored throttle body, there are a few places online that sell them.

I have one with 24lb injectors and a late model fuel pump (49psi)
