Ignition Coil may be worn

97XJ, 4.0, 400,000 miles.

My Jeep is not running as well as it used to, idles rough. I tuned it up last year but I am thinking the original ignition coil might be wearing out.

What is the consensus as to replacement ignition coil for the 4.0?

I will make this swap before I worry about anything else.

Thanks in advance-

before replacing the coil. with 400000 miles on the jeep. do a compression test wet and dry. with that many miles you may have a worn engine. throwing parts it may not solve your problem. coils normally die.
