What is this wiring for?

Getting ready to pull my old soggy carpet to lay down monstaliner, dynamat, and new carpet. Pulled the front pass seat, and it was wet under the carpet.

Anyways, found this connector under the carpet. What is this used for? Is it hot all the time? Ignition on? Reason I ask is because I added power WJ seats and tapped into a source in the dash, not knowing this was here. I'd prefer to use this if I can for the power recline and lumbar support functions.


Any help?

that's the plug for the stock power seat harness to plug into.

Good deal. Since I'm not looking to use the harness or anything like that, or heated seats, can I just cut the connector of and splice into it for 12v power? I did read about the circuits, and I haven't looked but doubt my 99 sport has it, could always pull one at the JY next week.

check it with a multimeter, that will tell you. I would assume yes but you never know.
